Banana Nut Cookies

These cookies taste just like banana nut bread, and you can swap out ingredients that work for YOU!

  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Step 2

    Add the dry ingredients (through baking powder) to a large mixing bowl and sift together until well combined.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the wet ingredients into a small mixing bowl and stir together until well combined.

  4. Step 4

    Create a well in the middle of the dry ingredients in the large mixing bowl and slowly add in the wet ingredients. Stir to combine. 

  5. Step 5

    Add in the diced walnuts and stir to incorporate.

  6. Step 6

    Drop spoonfuls of the dough on the cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes until the cookies are golden brown on top. Allow cookies to cool on the cookie sheet for 10 minutes and then move them to a wire rack to cool completely (if they don't get eaten first!).

Note

Feel free to substitute the walnuts for chopped pecans or slivered almonds, or you can exclude the nuts altogether if desired.
